Please find our first August newsletter containing information about our new Pop-Up collaboration as well as a summary of our last one!

Hello BBA family!

We would like to thank you all for your continued support. We would not be where we are today without the support from our community.

Last month we held our second Pop-Up market. This year's edition was truly a success, particularly from a visibility perspective.

  1. We had two interviews with Journal Metro and CBC Radio to promote the event. Some of the customers informed us that they heard the radio interview and stopped by to see what a BBA Pop-Up Market is all about!
  2. We were sponsored by BMO Black Entrepreneurship program and Futurpreneur
  3. We had 2 TV stations cover our Sunday market: CTV News Montreal and CBC News Montreal!

During our Pop-Up Market, the entrepreneurs were able to showcase their amazing and unique products to the community. Some were even interviewed by CTV and CBC!

We want to thank @ampstudiox for the beautiful photos and D’Jynn Visuals (@D_Jynn) for the video!

The Mayor of Lachine stopped by our Pop-Up Market. She was so impressed that she facilitated a collaboration with 2 community organizations from the city (Rue Notre-Dame and Cumulus) for their upcoming Street Festival on August 27th and 28th. Of course, we could not say no to another opportunity for increasing exposure for our Black entrepreneurs! We encourage everyone to come and support our vendors in large numbers on August 27 and 28 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The street festival will be located on Rue Notre-Dame from 9e avenue to 15e avenue. The Black Business Atlas vendors will be located between the 9e and 10e avenue.

The first 100 people to register to the FREE event will have the chance to win prizes from the entrepreneurs.

We look forward to seeing you the last weekend of August on Rue Notre Dame, Lachine!

Love & light,

Kayla, Fatoumata & Marly
